Joe Bella - Associate Pastor

He grew up in the west suburbs of Chicago and attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign to study mechanical engineering. It was there that Joe’s life was transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Joe was also given the desire to serve the Lord Jesus through full-time ministry during a spring ministry project in the Austin community of Chicago. In 2005 he finally earned an MDiv from Moody Bible Institute after over five years of studies.

 

During those Moody days Joe was setup (or “graced by God” as he would put it) with his wife Laura and they married in 2000. The Bella family has been growing ever since and has reached five with the arrival of Jane in November of 2008.

 

Among Joe’s favorite things in life are being a husband and dad, playing any sport or game that involves throwing something, drinking coffee, tinkering with Logos bible software, and jamming on the guitar.
